Vivian + Laurence

Vivian and Laurence picked one of the nicest day this year to tie the knot. It has been a difficult year in Toronto to cover weddings as we had so many rainy weekends. But that’s okay, wedding is all about the couple celebrates with family and friends and have a great time. Anything else is not important.

Vivian, Laurence and their amazing bridal party are all young and beautiful. Despite the fact that they had to start their day very early in the morning, they still have the energy to shake their booties on the dance floor late at night. Also, the combination of a great outdoor ceremony at the beautiful Eagle Nest Golf Club and live Jamaican steel drum music playing in background was awesome! Hope you enjoy this highlight as much as I do. Cheers!

On a side note, I cannot find a better song than this lovely piece by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat for the highlight reel. (I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend, Lucky to have been where I have been, Lucky to be coming home again….). Vivian had been away working in New York and came back home for the wedding and be united with Laurence. This song is tailor made for these two young lovers :).

Ivona + Miroslav

I had the absolute pleasure of filming this beautiful couple’s biggest day. I remember rain started to come down when the wedding ceremony were about to begin in the beautiful garden at the Fantasy Farm. When guest started to leave, Miroslav jumped out and insist the wedding must go on. That’s the most memorable moment to me and I am so glad he did that. It would have been chaotic otherwise…. Ivona and Miroslav cannot stop smiling at each other throughout the ceremony and what a beautiful sight that was! I bet they believe in the old saying that a wet bride is a lucky bride and the rainier the day, the more children they will get :). Congratulations!!

Btw, May 30th is truly special because that is the first time ever our trio worked together. Byron was the photographer, Tom and I were the videographers. We all look forward to our next trio project!

Gladys & Bert is such a lovely couple. Although I have never met Bert before the wedding, a few hours of working together makes me feel he is just as cheerful and caring as Gladys. They had their photo session at the beautiful Main Street historical area in Unionville. That's one of my favorite picture locations. The wedding party was truly a joy to work with! And the night was a blast...we all had a great time!!

Congratulations to Alice and my cousin Rudy! On May 9, 2009, they united in marriage and started a whole new chapter in their lives. It’s my honor to witness and film their wedding. I would like to dedicate this video to this young couple. I wish them many years of happiness together.

The wedding was held at the grand and elegant Hilton Suites Hotel in Markham. Everything went beautifully and smoothly inside the hotel despite the bad weather outside. The lion dance at the reception was truly spectacular. The surprise entrance of the two energetic cute lions got everyone on their feet. They helped fill up the hall with cheers and laughter all night long. Kudos to the one who came up with this brilliant idea!

Marie and Carlos is one of the nicest couple I ever worked with. It is truly an honor to have been a part of their special day, and to have shared the laughter and tears as their emotional journey unfolded. This day also marked the first time Tom and I worked together as a team. I can’t tell you how many times Byron and I have watched this video footage. We are thrilled with our cooperative effort and looking forward to capturing more touching stories.

Anya's Performance at Old Mills Inn

Here’s a live performance footage of Anya and Terence at the Winter Palace Ball - Dancing With The Tsars. Anya and Terence are Ontario and National Ballroom Dance Champions respectively. Winter Palace Ball is a Russian fund raising event for underprivileged children. Mr. Michael Ignatieff, leader of the Liberal Party gave his keynote address to Jump Start the night. Well....I didn’t know he is a Russian :). Black Tie, Champagne, Exquisite Dinner for the good cause. Cheers!
